In a resounding display of confidence, Bar Akuma Miranda has been re-elected as the President of Ntarikon Cooperative Credit Union Limited for another three year term. This follows her successful first year in office, where she demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to improving the cooperative’s operations.

Facing a challenging path back to the Board of Directors, Bar Akuma Miranda's journey to reclaim the presidency was marked by intense competition. With two vacancies on the Board, she secured her place alongside Chi Charles, a solar and technology engineer, in what was a closely watched election.
Bar Akuma Miranda faced challenges from her Board Secretary, Fru Doris, and Board Member Chi Chrisantus. After a vigorous campaign filled with community engagement, she emerged victorious, receiving 1,955 votes. Fru Doris followed with 1,199 votes, assuming the role of Vice President, while Chi Chrisantus finished third with 456 votes.
Under her leadership in the past year, Bar Akuma achieved significant milestones, including reducing loan delinquency and enhancing the Inion's balance sheet. Her administration ensured that the 6% interest on shares and savings was honored and completed a vital digitization initiative for the cooperative.
Bar Akuma Miranda is now set to guide the Ntarikon Cooperative Credit Union until the end of her current mandate, continuing to build on the foundations laid during her first term. Members celebrated her re-election with enthusiasm, expressing optimism for the future of the cooperative under her leadership.
The election took place at the Bamenda Municipal Stadium, Sunday March 1st 2026, where supporters rallied enthusiastically.
