CPDM Praises President Biya's Vision for Greatness!

The National Coordinator for the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) Campaigns, Jean Kwete, has expressed admiration for President Paul Biya's vision for the upcoming presidential election. According to Kwete, who also serves as the Secretary General of the CPDM party, President Biya's new mandate is one of Greatness and Hope.

He was speaking in Bamenda on October 5, 2025, during the CPDM Campaign Evaluation Mission to the North West Region. Addressing top Administrative Authorities, CPDM Regional and Divisional figures, and party militants, he emphasized that President Biya's vision for the country is centered on robust long-term National Development, aiming to make Cameroon a prominent Nation globally.

The Regional campaign team revealed they have adopted a strategy of targeted, ground level outreach, focusing on direct engagement with voters and countering misinformation.

On his part, Minister Felix Mbayu, CPDM Divisional Campaign Head for Mezam, criticized opposition parties for making false promises and claiming links to separatists.

The CPDM Divisional Team Leader highlighted President Biya's long-standing relationship with the North West Region, dating back to his first visit in 1983 and the launch of the CPDM party in Bamenda in 1985. “The North West Region has consistently received favor from the President, demonstrating his commitment to its development” Minister Mbayu said.

The highlight of Sundays event was the donation of a brand new 60 seater bus by Cameroon businessman, Jules Francois to the University of Bamenda as part of support to President Biya's campaigThe event which marked the close of Campaigns in the Region held at the Bamenda Municipal Grandstand, Sunday November 5th 2025.

Ntambang Community Members Schooled on Rape, GBV, Sexual Assault!

As part of activities under the “Adjust For Me” Project implemented in some four local council areas in Bamenda, Community members at the Ntambang locality continue to receive sensitization on Sexual Reproduction Health topics like GBV, Rape, Toxic Masculinity, Sexual Assault, FGM, among others. Community Spokesperson under the project recently carried out a sensitization campaign on GBV, Sexual Assault and its effects on pupils at the Government Practising School Old Town. During conversations, pupils were advised to report every form of abuse/assault to their teachers or parents so as to avoid any damage whatsoever. MIDENO Highlights 2024 Achievements, Charts Bold Course for Regional Transformation!

The North West Development Authority (MIDENO) has capped off 2024 with a celebration of impactful achievements and ambitious plans for 2025. At its annual press conference on December 4, 2024, held at the Epic Center in Bamenda, General Manager Cletus Anye Matoyah commended the staff for their relentless efforts, showcasing a year of innovation, growth, and resilience. Among the year’s standout accomplishments was MIDENO’s implementation of the Emergency Project to Combat Food Crisis in Cameroon (PULCCA). Backed by a 4.9 billion FCFA World Bank grant, the project has empowered over 10,000 farmers with improved seeds such as cassava, maize, potatoes, plantains, and vegetables. Forty tons of these seeds were distributed, with each farmer receiving three kilograms free of charge, while additional seeds were sold at subsidized rates to encourage broader adoption.
