Vision of Hope NGO Improves Healthcare in Bafut; Solicit Diaspora Support!

Accessing quality healthcare in Bafut, North West Region of Cameroon is a significant challenge due to poor roads, economic hardship, and the ongoing sociopolitical crisis in the Region. Consequently, Vision of Hope NGO has recently organized a one day health outreach program providing free health screenings, consultations, and medication to over 157 Bafut residents.

The package amongst others  included; Free screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and malaria, Physical therapy sessions and nutritional supplements, Health talks on lifestyle changes and disease prevention, Referrals to Bafut District Hospital for follow-up care.

Vision of Hope NGO plans to extend the campaign that promotes preventative care and raises awareness about non communicable diseases to more remote areas, but is limited due to insufficient funds to sustain the initiative. The NGO has therefore appealed for support from individuals and the Bafut diaspora to help achieve their vision of providing basic healthcare access to every resident of Bafut.
