SOGOC, FIGO Safe Abortion Campaign for Eligible Cases Launched!

The Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians Cameroon (SOGOC) in partnership with the International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (FIGO) is launching a Safe Abortion Campaign for eligible cases within the context of Cameroon law (ie the Penal code) Published by Upfront, 03/08/23 According to a Press Release signed by Prof. Emile Mboudou, President of SOGOG on July 31st, the campaign dubbed #IamSAFE #JSuisSAFE will run from August 1 to October 30, 2023. By Ruth Che Wachong Family planning is the consideration of the number of children a person wishes to have, including the choice to have no children, and the age at which they wish to have them.  Family planning decisions are mostly triggered by the following considerations; marital status, career or work considerations, financial situations, amongst others. Contraceptive methods commonly used in Cameroon are; oral contraceptives,  injectable methods and condoms. This report seeks to exploit the effect of these contraceptives on women who use them around Bamenda, Cameroon.
