​MINADER launches 2022 farming season in South Region; distributes  equipment to farmers By Ruth Che Wachong  The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), Gabriel Mbairobe on Tuesday April 26th 2022 officially launched farming activities for 2022 in the South Region of the country. Adding that, there should be restoration of abandoned plantations and no deforestation in Nja and Lobo Division of the south Region. 2022 Farming Season Launched; Improved seeds distributed to Farmers. Northwest Women called to continue clamoring for peace despite the twin crises in the Region.

Women of the Northwest Region have been called to remain steadfast in clamoring for peace and focused in achieving their goals despite the twin crises in the Region.   The clarion call was made by Mme Wirba Jeroline in her speech during the celebration of the 37th International women's day in Bamenda, Northwest Region.    Reflecting on the theme " Equality between women and men today, for a sustainable tomorrow" , the womens representative said men and women need equal opportunities to exploit their potentials, in order to achieve meaningful sustainable Development in their communities and  country as a whole.            Mme Wirba Veroline    She acknowledged that there are more women in decision making positions. Fon Kum Achou II of Esu and First wife assassinated.

​HRH Fon Kum Achou II of Esu is no more . He was assassinated on the 9th of March 2022, alongside his first wife. Reports say his vehicle was intercepted by unidentified gun men who shot and killed the Fon and his First wife as they returned home from the enthronement/installation of the Fon of Weh.                 Assassinated   Fon Kum Achou ll of Esu Esu is located in Fungom Subdivision, Menchum Division of the Northwest Region, Cameroon. Communities beckoned to facilitate reintegration of Ex fighters.

​Communities beckoned to facilitate reintegration of Ex fighters. Calls for the reintegration of members of the Demobilization and Decentralization Center (DDR) Northwest has emerged as one of the major outcome from a peace and unity football encounter with Local Administrators in Bamenda. These calls were made by different speakers during the event that held on February 10th 2022. Speaking during the encounter, Hon Awunti Kejung, who doubles as Patron of the DDR and Economic Commissioner Northwest Regional Assembly beckoned on community members to give the Ex fighters an opportunity to showcase their talents, as a booster for reintegration. Bamenda Regional Hospital:  Brand new 32 slides CT Scan goes operational Traveling long distances for brain and body scan will now be a thing of the past. This follows an announcement by the Management of the Bamenda Regional hospital of the installation of a CT scan. Donated by the Ministry of Public Health, the 32 slides CT scan went operational on Saturday January 15th 2022. The Imagery Center at the Bamenda Regional hospital has been functioning without a CT scan for over 2 years now.  Patients are adviced to henceforth come for this service once referrals are made.
